HAVN

The design was developed as a simple system of elements that can be combined into multiple configurations, supporting both individual use and group interaction. The modular setup allowed for easy assembly, reconfiguration, and storage, making it suitable for both temporary and permanent installations.

The first version was developed for Copenhagen Airport, responding to a need for adaptable seating in passenger areas affected by ongoing construction. The system was designed to accommodate changing layouts and varying passenger group sizes.

The project also addressed circularity and material reuse. In collaboration with SMALLrevolution, the furniture was produced using recycled plastic from decommissioned waste bins in Copenhagen. This approach reduced material impact while creating a site-specific connection to the local context. HAVN is commercially available through SMALLrevolution.
