ZESO visits Oslo!
On our tour, we explored Oslo’s more recent architectural works to see how the city has developed along the waterfront but also focused on examples of modern approaches to wood in architecture.
Some of the highlights included a tour of the recently completed Vertikal Nydalen office & residential project by Snøhetta with its self-sufficient climate system and the Hasletre office building by Oslotre that utilises a flexible wood structure.
Transformation is one of our expertise areas, so the Pressens Hus office building by Atelier Oslo & KIMA Arkitektur demonstrates a beautiful balance between historic preservation and modern architectural intervention, which was particularly inspiring.
Oslo is a walkable city filled with high-quality architecture, rich museums and fantastic restaurants. It has been an enormously educational tour, and we have now returned to our own studio filled with knowledge which we look forward to using in future projects.
