DIAS opened 10 years ago!
For 10 years, DIAS has been a hub where curiosity and interdisciplinary exchange come together to address today’s most complex questions.
The Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS) is an elite research centre located at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense. Since its inauguration, the building has become a natural part of the university campus, with its detailing firmly rooted in the design principles of the original buildings from 1966.
Simple colours, as well as concrete and corten steel as the main materials, create a strong connection to the surroundings, compliments the landscape and helps maintain cohesiveness and a clear design identity. A quality that has become even more apparent after a decade in use.
