China is developing at a pace and a magnitude that is hard to grasp. However, excellence on a lesser scale is equally evident exemplified by welfare society proving its worth for generations. ZESO Partner and Segment Leader for Aviation, Kelly Andrew Nelson, has recently given a series of lectures to our partner, Architectural Design and Research Institute of South China University of Technology (SCUTAD), on Scandinavian Modernism in Denmark – viewed through the development of Copenhagen Airport followed by debate on different aspects of Danish and Chinese cities.
The social dimension is the key issue here – right from the development of extensive airport projects to dwellings. We look forward to demonstrating how this approach will take shape in our latest collaborative project with SCUTAD!
